shop tour...petit pan

On my trip to London two months ago my friend and I decided to take the Chunnel into Paris and spend the day (she'd never been and wanted to see the highlights). We had so much fun and were pleasantly surprised when we discovered this lovely Children's Shop, Petit Pan. When I walked in, the first thing that caught my eye was the the mounted paper lantern in the shape of a Hippo head.  I immediately knew this was going to be an inspiring boutique and couldn't help but smile at all the cheery items.  I had to look at everything several times to take in all the bright colors and the wonderful variety of patterns.

Petit Pan was founded nearly 10 years ago by a husband and wife team who were inspired by the beautiful packaging and bold colors of a handmade gift they received from relatives in China for their Pan (son).  They now have six shops in Paris and design 95 percent of the products they sell (including the amazing fabrics).

Petit Pan sells fabric, clothing, pillows, lighting and buttons to list just a few.  The items in the shop are inspired by Chinese folk art and not only are they cheerful and colorful, but practical as well.  I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful Children's Shop.  If you're not planning on Paris this summer you can shop online here.
